Bruno Portella é artista plástico há 18 anos. Com influências do acadêmico e do contemporâneo, Portman cria obras inspiradas no fogo em plataformas como telas, murais e peças customizadas, utilizando variadas técnicas como a espátula para as telas, o graffiti para os murais e pintura automotiva para as peças customizadas.

 

Desde pequeno, Bruno sempre teve uma atração pelas chamas; o que nem sempre acabava bem. Incêndios eram frequentes. O tempo passou e o pequeno incendiário se tornou artista plástico. A união desses dois elementos, gerou a identidade visual e a temática pelos quais o artista é conhecido atualmente.

 

Portman possui obras em coleções particulares em cidades como Orlando, Miami, San Diego, Houston, Toronto, Amsterdã, Genebra, Bucarest, Zurique, Liechtenstein, Berlin, Lisboa, Cascais, Belo Horizonte, Natal, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo.

 

Após alguns anos de trabalho, Portman foi convidado a fazer parte do livro “The Art Book Brasil” lançado em dezembro de 2015 pela editora Decorbook, em Miami, durante a realização da feira de arte e design “Art Basel Miami”.

 

Durante os anos de 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 e 2019 Bruno Portella também participou do evento “Art Battle Brasil” e “ArtBattle Amsterdam”. Este é um evento que ocorre no mundo todo e está ha quinze anos no Canadá, ha três anos em terras tupiniquins e recém estreou na Europa. O artista foi campeão de duas edições brasileiras realizadas nos meses de Dezembro de 2015 e Dezembro de 2016, o “ArtBattle Lounge Brazil”. Em Junho de 2017 o artista sagrou-se campeão do primeiro “Art Battle Amsterdam”. Em Novembro o Artista retornou para a terceira edição do evento holandês e sagrou-se campeão também do “ArtBattle #3 Amsterdam”.

 

Em janeiro de 2017 o Atelier Bruno Portella foi eleito, pela revista Vero, como o favorito de Alphaville e Região entre todos os estabelecimentos de decoração e galerias de arte.

 

Em Fevereiro deste mesmo ano foi convidado pela diretoria do Memorial da América Latina a export 3 obras por periodo indeterminado no mesmo emblemático local. As pinturas estão em exposição.

 

Em 2018 Bruno Portella teve suas obras publicadas no livro “Who’s Who Brazililan Artists”, da editora Decorbook, que foi lançado em janeiro. O artista também ganhou neste mesmo mês o prêmio de Artista Destaque do circuito mundial de arte “Mares, Cores e Estrela Guia 2017”.

 

Em Junho foi selecionado para participar da “Football Parade” em comemoração à Copa do Mundo e aos 70 anos do “Sindicato dos Atletas de São Paulo”.

 

Em Setembro de 2018, Bruno Portella foi premiado no Salão de Arte “O Inquérito do Saci” com a obra “A Próxima Travessura”.

 

Em outubro do mesmo ano o artista participou do “4º Salão Nacional de Arte Contemporânea de Alagoas” a convite do curador da mostra e conforme matéria publicada nos portais “Fala Universidades”, do Terra, em janeiro de 2019, e no “Almanaque da Cultura”, em dezembro de 2018, Bruno Portella é um dos 10 artistas brasileiros a serem seguidos em 2019 segundo a curadoria da galeria “Artluv”.

 

Em outubro de 2019 Portman foi convidado novamente a participar do 5º Salão Internacional de Arte Contemporânea de Alagoas como artista e desta vez também como palestrante.

 

Em 2020 inaugurou seu atual Atelier e participou como artista destaque da Exposição Artluv Experience.

 

Em 2021 Bruno Portella foi convidado pela Secretaria de Cultura de Barueri a ser o novo Diretor do Núcleo de Artes Visuais de Barueri e em Setembro deste mesmo ano Portman foi homenageado pela Associação de Arquitetos e Decoradores do Polo Alphaville assinando a capa e matéria interna do Anuário de Arquitetura e Decoração da Associação.

 

Em agosto de 2022 Bruno Portella fez parte do livro “150 Frases de Artistas” Livro lançado pelo Instituto Bianca Chromiec e que traz 150 frases de artistas e personalidades da arte sobre o que é a arte em nossa sociedade contemporânea.

 

Em 2023 Portman foi convida pela Cônsul honorária Brasileira em Liechtenstein para ser o curador do 8º Salão de Arte Brasileira em Liechtenstein. Além de ser o curador ele também ganhou o prêmio de 2º lugar como artista participante do salão.

 

Em suas obras, Portman discute aspectos da vida contemporânea através das metáforas do fogo junto com uma identidade visual de encher os olhos por suas cores e contrastes.

Bruno Portella has been an artist for 18 years, drawing inspiration from both academic and contemporary influences. Portman creates artworks inspired by fire on various platforms such as canvases, murals, and customized pieces, employing diverse techniques like palette knife for canvases, graffiti for murals, and airbrushing for customized pieces. Since childhood, Bruno has been drawn to flames, which didn't always end well, as frequent fires were a result. Over time, the young firestarter transformed into a visual artist, and the fusion of these two elements formed the visual identity and theme for which the artist is currently known.

 

Portman's works are part of private collections in cities such as Miami, San Diego, Houston, Toronto, Amsterdam, Geneva, Bucharest, Zurich, Berlin, Lisbon, Cascais, Belo Horizonte, Natal, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.

 

After several years as a visual artist, Portman was invited to be part of the book "The Art Book Brazil," released in December 2015 by Decorbook publisher in Miami during the Art Basel Miami art and design fair. In the same year, Bruno was invited to join the jury to choose the new logo for Alphaville, organized by Vero magazine.

 

In the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, Bruno Portella also participated in the "Art Battle Brazil" and "Art Battle Amsterdam" events, winning two Brazilian editions in December 2015 and December 2016, the "Art Battle Lounge Brazil." In June 2017, he became the champion of the first "Art Battle Amsterdam" and went on to win again in the third edition.

 

In January 2017, the Bruno Portella Atelier was voted by Vero magazine as the favorite in Alphaville and the surrounding region among all decoration establishments and art galleries. In February of the same year, he was invited by the Memorial da América Latina to integrate the private collection of the cultural complex with three exhibited works indefinitely.

 

In 2018, Bruno Portella had his works published in the book "Who's Who Brazilian Artists" by Decorbook, released in January. In the same month, he received the Artist Highlight award from the global art circuit "Seas, Colors, and Guiding Star 2017." In June, he was selected to participate in the "Football Parade" in celebration of the World Cup and the 70th anniversary of the "Sindicato dos Atletas de São Paulo." In September 2018, Bruno Portella was awarded at the "O Inquérito do Saci" Art Salon with the work "A Próxima Travessura." In October of the same year, he participated in the "4th National Contemporary Art Salon of Alagoas" by invitation from the curator of the exhibition.

 

 

In January 2019, according to articles published in the "Fala Universidades" portal on Terra and the "Almanaque da Cultura," Bruno Portella is one of the 10 Brazilian artists to follow in 2019 according to the Artluv gallery's curatorial team. In October 2019, Portman was again invited to participate in the 5th International Salon of Contemporary Art of Alagoas as an artist and, this time, as a speaker. In the same year, he started his work as an artistic mentor.

 

In 2020, he participated in the Artluv Experience as the featured artist.

 

In 2021, Bruno Portella was invited by the Department of Culture of Barueri to be the new Director of the Visual Arts Nucleus of Barueri. In September of the same year, Portman was honored by the Association of Architects and Decorators of Polo Alphaville, signing the cover and internal article of the Architecture and Decoration Yearbook of the Association. Also in the same year, Bruno curated the ArtWeek Expo, held in Alphaville.

 

In August 2022, Bruno Portella was part of the book "150 Quotes from Artists," launched by the Bianca Chromiec Institute, featuring quotes from artists and art personalities about the role of art in contemporary society, surpassing 1000 mentored visual artists.

 

In 2023, Bruno Portella was appointed by the Brazilian Honorary Consul in Liechtenstein as the curator of the 8th Brazilian Art Salon in Liechtenstein, which took place in June of the same year. Bruno also participated as an artist, receiving the second place in the Salon with his painting.

 

In his works, Portman discusses aspects of contemporary life through the metaphors of fire, coupled with a visually striking identity characterized by colors and contrasts.
